I feel better now as I just went by a Best Buy store & they have the Verizon Note 2 on display. I was starting to think it wasn't a reality as Verizon still is the only major carrier yet to launch it. The logo on the home button does look a little weird, but not really a big deal. Ok..thank for your time.

Glad you got to covet your beloved Note 2. I was talking to my Verizon guy about it the other day. Beautiful piece of equipment in my opinion!

Absolutely. It's funny it made my S3 look like a baby's toy. I could only imagine what an iPhone would look like next to it. The screen is just amazing.

I must admit, whenever I get a new device, my old (used loosely) one always looks like crap! Lol

Haha I don't think I can go get a new phone and not root it the first day. I like all the things gained when root is acquired

Yeah, there is a part of me that really don't enjoy rooting and trying to keep up to date with updates and such and hate when a carrier finally spits out an update and I am rooted and need to restore my device all the way back to factory and with windows having issues with drivers, this really irks me. But then, right now, I am installing a new rom on the old xoom I gave my mom. If the rom don't work, well then, I got another one ready to flash in the pipeline.

I see. Sounds like a lot of work.
Sadly, my carrier doesn't do updates, but not surprised as its a prepaid carrier.
A plus is all the treats that come with a Rom and the like New feel that happens when a new Rom is flashed
