Galaxy S4 Cases and covers!

2) Otterbox Defender - several issues I had - The inner two plastic shell halves click together. The tabs which hold them together are very thin and breakable. I take my case off my phone weekly, cleaning purposes (work related). Every tab all the way around the two halves are broke off. The outer rubber skin does hold the phone case together but the plastic halves are not clicked together. Next issue found was the plastic screen protector. I went outside is a very light drizzle rain and one rain drop hit right at the top edge of screen protector by the earpiece and spread down the whole front of phone face behind the screen protector. Therefore, I had to take case apart and dry off screen because of one rain drop. Then there is the holster issues. The issues found are the design. The Defender for the S3 was designed great but the S4 holster is different. When you put the phone in the holster you have to lineup the 2 back corners perfect or you miss. The holster for the S3 has a long sided tray and phone falls/fits right in place. You have to physically look at the S4 holster to line it up. Having the small corner tabs to hold it in place are weak and going to break off. The long side of the S3 holster would not do that. The click lock tab that holds the S4 in holster is very shallow & small, barely clicks in secure. Make sure you tug on your S4 to make sure it is secure. My phone falls off my holster getting in and out of the car or office chair multiple times a day. I have removed the Defender and on to the next. Both side buttons are hard to push in and function.

I have seen others mention how the phone falls out of the Otterbox Defender holster. It does not fit snug in holster and barely clicks in place. Well, after dropping my S4 in parking lot two times within five minutes I had enough. Time to tighten up the phone in the holster. In the two corners where the phone rest in the holster I stuck a small piece of soft side velcro in the corner of the holster. Now when I slip phone in holster I actually here a CLICK and its tight.

I have the Samsung wireless charging back cover on its way in the mail at the moment. I will let you guys know when I get it.

I didn't order charging pad though, I already have the Nexus Orb charger and I'm hoping the back cover for the S4 will work with it. It should.

Like an idiot I'm set to receive the Samsung wireless charging setup and didn't realize the back cover is thicker. Now, I gotta decide which is more important, wireless charging or the Neo Hybrid. :o

Not true. Im wireless charging and have the neo hybrid. :)

Got the dante red neo hybrid on white.

Who else put the home button sticker on? I'm afraid that it'll press on it more likely in my front pocket. It doesn't seem to be leveled with the side of the case.

I ordered the aluminum home buttons and have that installed, but also have the GLAS.tR screen protector so without the add-on button it is recessed.

Anyone's camera lens get scratched with the neo hybrid on in their pocket? I'm afraid since it's not that recessed compared to the flash.

I will not be installing mine either.
I'm going to take mine off. Are there protectors for the home button?

the camera is pretty protected, i cant see it getting scratched. Mine isnt.

I have the sticker on. I like it. I like the way it makes the button feel, and I need it because I have the nano glass on. I prefer it over the regular button.

My wireless charging back cover arrived today. It actually makes the phone feel very natural when holding it. Not too bulky at all, almost like this is how the GS4 should have been. I always felt it was almost too thin, like I was going to break the thing. The added thickness is not that much at all. The phone overall is maybe a hair thicker than the iPhone 4S, and I think that is just from the chrome edge along the outside of the GS4. The new back loses the AT&T branding and the 'Galaxy S4' logo, replaced with the Samsung logo.

And another big plus for me, is that the added thickness provides much needed protection for the rear-facing camera. The only reason I was running a case before was to protect the camera when setting the phone down. I hate using cases, so this setup is perfect for me. And! It works great with the Nexus Orb charger I already have. Bonus.

Drat. Just got my Neo Hybrid today. *NONE* of the usb cables I have...and I have like 10 different kinds...will fit with the case on. How could they mess this up this badly? Did they test the case with anything.

It also won't work with the dock activation cable that comes with the iBolt.

Wheres the one that came stock with the phone? That one works. :)

Also every stock cord i have from my previous phones from samsung (S3), motorola (Driod X, X2, razor) All fit. Also my kindle cable does. :)

You con find OEM samsung cable replacements on amazon for like $2-$3 as well. I didnt check for Motorola ones.

Oh also, the verizon stock car charger fit too. :)

Original phone accessories always stay in the box to improve resale value later on. It may be the only cable I own that does fit. I own 40+ (10+ brands) cables spread throughout two homes, 4 cars, and work.

I can get any of them to fit with a little xacto knife trimming, but I'd have to do that to every cable including the iBolt cable.

On the other hand, I don't see anyway Spigen could have avoided this. The phone is just too low profile. They already compromised by extending it below the profile a mm on the bottom side.

Does anybody know when the Otterbox Armor series case will be released for GS4? Or any reliable waterproof case for that matter?
