I am really hoping its enough for me. I am a power user, usually blow through 2 x 3000 mah batterys in a day with my G4..
Right now its 1:24pm been unplugged since 5am and i am down to 18% and only 1hr 30m screen on time in the 8hrs and 20minutes.
Really hope this 3600 gets me from 5am to 6pm daily.

The OP has the S7,with the 3000 mAh battery.
This is one area where discussing the battery life/stats/etc... of the S7 & the S7 Edge will be akin to comparing apples to oranges.
So,with that in mind,anyone with the Galaxy S7 Edge who wishes to start a separate thread,by all means..........................

I have an S7 Edge and I am pleased with my battery. On my M9 I always had to charge my phone at work no good signal it drained quick and I would plug up once even twice. This phone thae past several days I've come home with 30% or so but I don't use my phone alot at work and I don't even have synching set up yet I think it's still turned off. I am still trying to configure and learn this phone. My real test will be today I am off all day and once I leave the house to run errands and do dinner later I'll see what I am on when I get home cause I'll be using my phone more. Will probably sit at Starbuck and mess with it. They have Wifi but if my signals good I don't worry about wifi since I have unlimited data. One day I got 11 or 12 hours with 5 hours of screen on time and yesterday I got down to about 40 at work and charged it up to 60 and than was good the rest of the night. I haven't been having to charge it at work but if I do it's no big deal.
But anyway I agree with rkkeller above. I went crazy over fast adaptive chargers from Samsung cause of a Groupon sale. I got 2 for 8.99 each an extra dollar off than decided even for 9.99 it was a good deal and got 2 more. I think the one that came with our phones have a shorter cord the Groupon ones were 5 ft. SO I am using just the cable in my PC so I have an extra wall plug so what I do go to Amazon they sell One wall plug with 2 5ft cables OMG I am crazy. I wanted to use all Samsung Fast Adaptive chargers cause it charges my phone so fast. I even have this QC 2.0 one from Amazon that was great on my M9. And now I'll have the fast wireless charger tomorrow from BB. I got my $30 dollar gift card for using Samsung Pay. But anyway I always have a charger I also have this Anker 2.0 external which I won't have to use much I bet. But we love this phone best we've ever had after having 6 HTC's. I've never understood how people get 20 hours though. When I got 12 the other night I was like wow and i am happy to just get through 8 hours of work with out having to charge even though I am always near a plug and keep a charger on me since we have to many.

Greetings, I just purchased a GS7 and haven't adapted to the interface yet. The battery on my phone almost evaporates it drains so quickly. I believe once I get to know the patterns of the device I'll be happy with it but for now I'm in a state of disbelief on how quickly it drains.
Any suggestions, thank you in advance.

That seems pretty bad, maybe the screen brightness is up really high? Also I get more time with the "Always on display" turned off, if you have that on. Then again I don't check the time a lot, but if you do it might be better to use that than to turn the whole screen on. I usually have my brightness set to the lowest possible setting that still lets me see it.
Maybe there are some apps running in the background? If you use the facebook app, I'd suggest just using chrome to go to the website. that will save some battery. And when you are done with an app make sure you close it using the "recent" button.
Oh, and keeping location and blutooth off until you need them should help as well.
Sorry if you already know all this, I don't mean to tell you what you already know. Just figured I'd try to help!
Edit: Does anyone know if closing the apps using that recents button actually keep it from using as much battery? I just do it out of habit.

My battery life has been "normal" for me. I've been dropping to 50% at work. I charge it sometimes. If I don't, I'm at about 20% by the time I get home. This is about normal for me, so I was happy. However, my S7's battery took a dive last night. Last night was also the first time I didn't charge it to 100%. Here's my timeline. It's crazy.
This is crazy! The only change I have made is I d/l the Android Central app. Nothing is in my recent apps bin. Hopefully today is an aberration and nothing else.
Wait, down to 31% @ 12:52. WTH!
- Went to bed @ 11ish: 77%
- Woke up @ 6:15am: 55% (I left about 6 Chrome windows open, so assumed that's why my battery died)
- Surfed a bit 6:15 - 6:40 (closed all Chrome windows and any apps, didn't touch it until the next line): 50%
- Left for work @ 9:00: 44%
- Drove 5 minutes, used Google Music
- Arrived at work, turned on AOD @ 9:08 (have not touched it): 40%
- Had a 2 hour meeting 10:30 - 12:30 (left it at my desk): 35%
- Sent 3 texts, been sitting there as I type this, took a screenshot @ 12:45: 32%

Too early to tell, especially since 2 days in I'm playing with it relentlessly, but today, after 6hrs. and "normal" use (looking up phone numbers, internet searching, calls, - "always on" calendar showing, etc.) I'm at 72% so that's cool.
My question is this: The heat being generated from the "fast charge" mode and a non-replaceable battery. I too appreciated being able to swap batteries in the past, but the S7 has enough on the plus side for me to offset this lost feature.
What I'm concerned about is how warm it gets when it's charging in the "fast" mode. I'm turning it off and saving it for when I'm in a pinch, otherwise my lifestyle allows me to charge at a normal rate (overnight on the bedstand or in the car traveling, etc.) Just seems that all that extra heat over and over again can't being doing the lifespan of the battery any good.

The first charge took a whopping 5 hours ,much contrary to the 90 min Samsung claim.
I thought may be its the first charge thts why.Now 2nd charge says 5h40min until fully charged battery.
Is this normal?
I have already selected fast charge in settings and yes the Charger is the original out of the box.Pls help..should i go for a return? And yes output is around 10 h after full charhe with basic usage

This is not typical charging behavior:
New out-of-the-box should not take anywhere near this long to charge with the included charger & cable.
Return for exchange.

When you say "recent" apps do you mean the apps that show when you click on the touch screen button to the left of the home button?
Short Story: Had my phone just over a week. I unplugged my phone at 6am this morning, and it was at 51% when I left work at 3:30. Moderate use much of the day.
Long Story: I work in a hospital. There are lots of walls and our internal WiFi isn't so great. So my phone is usually grasping for a signal. That and Facebook tend to wear my battery down pretty quick. Today was a slow day, so I was on Facebook a good bit with some texting and emails in between. I didn't download any movies or play any games. I no longer feel a need to start the day plugging my phone into the charger.
So I'm pleased with the battery. I've always been jealous of my iPhone friends that never seem to be concerned with how much battery they have left. I'm not as well versed in these phones as many of you, but while IMO I think we still have a way to go on battery life, this phone takes a good step forward.
I'm not sure the fast charging is as crazy fast as I thought it would be. It's faster than my previous phones though. Anything is an improvement.
Overall this is the best phone I've ever had. They are all pretty and snappy right out of the box, but they start to lag a little once you get all your apps, pictures, and music on them. Mine is all set up, and it is still snappy and pretty. With previous phones Ive had, you turn them sideways and you can count the seconds sometimes until the screen rotates. This one rotates almost instantly. I don't want to get off track. This thread is about battery. It's a good phone though.

Messed up on the quote thing.. yea thats what i meant. It does seem to shut the apps down. Snapchat has to re-open if I close it from that screen but it still receives snaps. So im not so sure it will save much battery but i figure every bit helps.
As a side note: i seem to be able to get calls and messages (and maybe emails?) while using powersaving mode.

Coming from the "Note" series and recently selling my GS6 Edge Plus to buy a GS7, I am not impressed with the GS7 battery life over-all...
Took phone off my wireless charger at 6am, fully charged.

Throughout the day, I made a total of 20 min. of phone calls with bluetooth, about 15 texts, checked email 4 times, and had to look up 2 address' on google maps. That's about it...I even made sure to kill all the open apps throughout the day.
( and when you ask why I got rid of my GS6 edge +, I really couldn't stand the useless edge screen. and wanted too go back to a "one-handed" phone)

It would seem that whether you have the U.S. Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or the Exynos 8890 Global model, could play a part in your battery life. The following article gives the Exynos a 10-30% better battery life and describes the Snapdragon 820 as, "Relatively poor battery performance". It also points out the difference in audio and video slo-mo between the two models.
