Galaxy SIII equivalent device

Hello folks,

I have HTC One X and I am pretty satisfied with its performance except for the absence of memory card slot.

I need another phone that is equivalent to HTC One X. One that I can think of is Galaxy S III but I wonder if folks have other recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

(P.S. - I would like to avoid the phones with no memory card slot and another HTC.)

This may sound a bit fan-boy-ist because im on the s3 lol but i think definately the s3. The One X and s3 were groundbreaking devices at the same time. If you dont care so much about the flimsy s3 casing then you wont be disappointed by the insides and the display

Just read up on the s3's habit of "frying" SD cards, make a good choice of card and back up regularly

Ok the back plate is flimsy big deal just get a case :). I hate when someone who has a HTC one or Iphone say its made sturdy then put a case on it and end up breaking it. i currently just upgraded to the Gs4 and love it my father has the Gs3 and he has not used a case or screen protector and the device has not broke, scratched or cracked in any way over the year he has had it. It is a great reliable device and you probably could get one used on ebay for a great deal because every one is upgrading to the Gs4 now. :D

It is not about fanboyish but I liked the device too. And this frying issue was THE issue why I went to HTC One X at the first place. Although, I would back up the card regularly, my plan was to store few things on the card permanently. And that is the sole reason, why I asked for the equivalents.

I was considering Experia Z too but I heard that they have update issues and proprietary connections. Plus, the customer support isn't great. Hence, I was like what other devices are out there which are similar to SIII, just not well known enough.

I think the issue on frying cards also relate to the quality of cards. Many people get cards from Ebay, where there are a lot of cheapo cards lying around.

The only other ones I can think of was the Razr Maxx HD and the Xperia T, which were the flagships alongside the S3 and One X last year.

The xperia z is a gorgeous phone if you can afford it. I love the boxy look and i love Sony. I played with one the other day and it seems quite similar speed-wise to the s3. i prefer the LED display on the samsungs though.
RE the fryed sd cards.. ive had the same Sandisk 32GB card in my s3 for bout 8months n its never had a problem and i overclock my phone so it gets upto 55

If money's no object, then the S4 is probably a bet than the S3 as it will almost certainly continue to get updates beyond when support dies for the S3.
