Hello! I'm new here. I've been reading the posts here to try and fix my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, but my husband and I haven't been able to fix it. I contacted Samsung customer support because I am at my wit's end and they believe it's a hardware issue, but I don't know for sure. I'm really hoping someone can help.
This started last Thursday. I unplugged it from the charger and headed to work. When I pulled it out I noticed it was warm and stuck on the boot screen with the black background and the words "Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus". Obviously I tried shutting it off, but it wouldn't shut off. It would act like it was going to, but it would immediately re-boot and stay on that screen. We tried the factory reset and that didn't work; we have gotten an error several times when trying to do the factory reset: E:Format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p9
My husband has been trying different suggestions, but nothing has worked. Here's what he has tried and nothing has worked:
-Wipe/Factory reset
-Downloaded the .md5 stock firmware file for Ice Cream Sandwich for the P6210, and downloaded the .pit particial file for the p6211. Using those two files along with odin 3v185 i attempted to re-partition and reinstall the factory default for ICS the steps then said to return to the restore menu and wipe/factory reset.
I don't know what to do or how to fix it. It's only 3 years old which makes me even more grumpy about this whole thing. And I guess if no one has any other suggestions that we could try, I'm at the crossroads of whether to send it into Samsung to have them fix it or buy a new one... I really appreciate your help.
Thanks!
