Help Galaxy Y Front Lens?

I was just wondering what the 2 littles lens are on the front of the phone, at the top to the right of the call speaker.

I thought it might of been a front camera, an LED notifier/display or a torch, but I can't seem to find any settings for it.

Are there any uses for it or even any apps that use it?

Buddy that are sensors to turn off lcd during call....
When you are talking on call you will see that the screen turns off and u continue to talk..this happens when the sensor feels that you are on call and turns off the screen to save battery....just try yourselg if you want...
Eg-make a call to your own number and put your hand or your ear on that sensor ,your screen will turn off......
