Help Gallery apps not finding pictures

I recently re-organized my picture folders using a file manager app, which I've done many tines before. However, now the stock gallery app will only show the images that were in the folder before, and the new ones are nowhere to be found. Quickpic won't even show most of my folders unless I select "show hidden", except there's nothing hiding any of my files such as a .nomedia file. This is pretty infuriating, and I was wondering if anyone has had similar issues.

I also noticed that the gallery AND quickpic are no longer displaying pictures that they used to. No updates or changes that I am aware of either - it just started happening.

sometimes the gallery needs to be "refreshed" as it seems to operate off of a cache rather than scanning directories every time you open the app. Try 'refreshing' the gallery - its an option in the menu on the 'albums' page. If that doesn't work, go into settings > All > gallery - and clear the cache. DON'T CLEAR DATA.

If that still doesn't work. Power down and restart the phone.
