a friend has a DINC and the charging/usb connecter on the phone is shot . He needs a way to transfer his pictures and videos via the web so that after he gets his new device he can download them to the new phone. THE IMPORTANT THING IS THE CAPABILITIE OF DOWNLOADING HTEM BACK TO THE PHONE .will Picasa work for this ? any other ideas ?

Why not save it to the microSD card and then just move that across to the new device or to a pc instead?

There's probably a way to save the photo from the device drive to the sd drive using Astro...but I don't think there is a way to do it natively.

Dropbox is great. I also use photobucket, but with photobucket you cant send pics to your phone for free. Dropbox can send and receive for free.

Otherwise the SD card works too..
