games you wish were made for android

Uplink and DefCon by Introversion would be great - simple graphics already and hacking/nuclear war on the move would be kinda cool

Both baldur's gates
Icewindale
Planescape torment
Half-life
Everquest
Tomb raider
Civilization 3
Diablo
Thief
Grim Fandango

Half-life

again, i would really like to see someone explain how they could enjoy playing an fps on a touchscreen phone

i regard half-life as the best game ever made, but i think it would absolutely suck once you take it out of the mouse-keyboard interface

For droid I would use the dpad for wasd. And finger for mouse look. For N1 virtual analog stick to move and trackball for mouse look. Lots of iPhone shooters work. HL doesn't throw tons of enemies at you at once either.

but neither of those interfaces offer anywhere near the precision and speed of a mouse+keyboard combo (ok, i haven't actually tried, but i'm pretty sure about it) and wether or not there's a ton of baddies to shoot at the same time, you always need precision and speed with fps'

Lots of people play fps on consoles which is much much harder than on a PC. I am not saying it is optimal, but eventually you will get used to it.

well sure, but i'd rather have games which are designed from the start for the platform you're playing it on

My choice of games (in random order) that I'd love to see on my Android would have to be these...

UFO: Enemy Unknown & X-COM: Terror from the Deep
Bejeweled Twist
Heroes of Might and Magic II
FreeCiv or Civilization I or II
Eye of the Beholder I - III
Frontier or First Encounters
Jagged Alliance Deadly Games
Pinball Fantasies
Might and Magic World of Xeen
Ultima VII & VIII
Mordor (old Win 3.11 game)
Golden Box engine games
Battle Isle
Deluxe Galaga or Warblade
Puzzle Quest
Fallout 2

As you can see many oldies here and I suppose my love for retro games don't justify it, so I'm just gonna say that they're all awesome & entertaining games and apart from Frontier & First Encounters they all would've played great with touch screen controls.

That's sort of all the game I can think of now. ^__^

Ow, somebody mentioned Oregon Trail. So, I just wanna say that there's an Android version already. I haven't played the original but Andro version seems like fun...

This is pretty much my exact list too, I bet we are both gamers from the 80's

Goldbox games are perfect for Android.

Crysis

Seriously, I don't know why people are asking for unrealistic things. Get a gaming laptop and carry it in a backpack.

I'd play a pokemon knockoff, especially one that had online multiplayer.

Also, I enjoyed a game called "Impossible Creatures" back in the day. It was like startcraft but you could create the minions you would use by combining 2 animals for each one. Not sure how easy controls would be on a game like that, or if a snapdragon would be enough though.

Honestly a pokemon knock-off online multiplayer is GENIOUS. Like where you could walk around and run into other ppl and battle them! The developer of that would be a millionaire. Even though everyone pretends their to old for pokemon deep down you know you all still love the idea of raising a monster and battleing it

There was something like this on pc but free. I think it was pokemon world or something. Obviously they couldn't charge since they used pokemon. You can't join it now, probably server overloads. Since it was VERY lagy, I think it would be best to have a building in each city where you could meet people, because I do think it would be popular even if not free and even the snapdragons couldn't handle it (I think).

Tomb Raider (ps1)

Half Life 2 (I know it won't run on these phones)

ATV offroad fury

Modern Warfare

MGS2

I know even PS1 games have no emulator yet for android (I'm using an Incredible). I would take just being able to play the original Tomb Raiders (1-4) but one would have to figure out some kind of gamepad setup.

Times INFINITY on Oregon Trail (old classic!) and Scrabble. My older brother has an iPhone and plays Words with Friends a lot.

I'm also big fan of boardgames... I'd love to see a lot of Hasbro classics and others as well.

How about a surgery game like trauma center on the ds
I remember playing a similar game back in the day on Windows 95. That'd be cool if it's ever available in the Android market.

OMG! Some one else who played Mordor! Me and my friend loved it and had rediculously hard characters lol, we even modded it and created our own game based on it! (We had new levels, monsters inc. bosses, and new items).. we got about 7 floors done and had some awesome monsters on it :)

Anyway I agree with all the above!
Also there was a game on the MegaDrive called something like "Dungeons and Dragons: Valley of the Sun", not sure on the Valley of the Sun bit but something like that, I'd love to see that to!

Oh and just thought... a cut down Android version of this would rock: Flower
