Root GB - Hide Alarm from Notification bar?

Turn the alarm off? :D

I think I may be the only one actually digging into the alarm/clock/gps icons at the moment, and so far I have come back empty handed. My fingers are crossed hoping one of the smarter people around here will figure it out... but in the meantime, I'm just trying to pick away here.

I would imagine it would be a process similar to that of removing the clock. A good place to start would be to compare services.jar from a rom with the clock removed vs one with the clock there i.e. apex for froyo.

If you want to do it the easy/lazy/not-optimal way you could just replace the alarm icon in the framework to match the color of your notification bar. A blank space would then appear instead of the icon.

Alarm Clock Plus★ from the market has it as a check box item. I actually prefer this app over all the built in alarm clocks I've seen.

Statusbar policy is no longer in services.jar, so it can't be removed the same way anymore.....the question is, where has it been moved to?

really?... that is odd. Indeed, where did it go?

Not really odd with GB.....in general a lot of stuff has been moved around quite a bit, that's why there aren't many themes out for GB, and why Fabolous is taking extra long to release GB ApeX (just guessing, but seems right to me) ;)

That is true. A lot of stuff is different. I guess that's what you've got to expect though with a whole new version of android. Latest and Greatest

I thought he stated (possibly in another forum) that he was moving on to the Thunderbolt. That's why there's been no recent updates to Apex and that's why I left.
