Root GB miui 2.3.5

Love the ROM. However, I cannot see my photos or videos in the gallery or MIUI gallery. It shows the small image in the bottom left hand corner, but won't do anything when I press the image. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try going to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and clear data on both Gallery and MIUI Gallery

just updated to miui 1..5.20 and tried to use the built in updater, that was a no go so i had to run it manualy from cwm, i had to toggle verification aswell, but after that it installed perfect!! :D

Ive finally bitten the bullet and crossed over to GB MIUI. Im sad to leave behind my trusty old 1.2.4 Froyo MIUI which had been running on my phone for past 4 months! I love certain aspects of GB MIUI like the new theme "Elite HD" It looks fabolous! Without that theme I wouldnt have crossed over but I cant stand the horrid overscroll glows!! Guess I could live with it but I'd like that feature in GB gone!!

I have just uninstalled the latest Miui after running it over night, I tried 3 different fresh installs and every one of them had a problem; the first one was that "Acore" was force closing every 2 seconds, the second one didn't like the cold or something and the 3rd was wiped when the SMS service wouldn't do its thing!

Damn that sucks man! Ive had mine running for 24hrs now. Everything seems ok apart from when sending SMS via contact it force closes! This weeks release concentrates on bugs in contacts and settings so Im hoping that will be fixed!

Keeps me posted, apart from it not working I was v impressed! I fancy a change from Cyanogen and none o the other roms float my boat right now.

That sounds very unlucky TBH, I've been using the latest GB MIUI since it was released and apart from the early releases I've had not a single problem, it just keeps getting better from my point of view (lol not to rub it in of course :p ) But yeah, just sounds like bad luck that you've had these problems or good luck for me that I've not?

+1 for the themes, its a stroke of genius that you can chop different things out of different themes, whether it be a lockscreen, or a notification pull down, to icons from another theme, the list goes on.....I just think that's ... well ya know, great, (I'm probably sounding a bit too enthusiastic about this, but its just great lol)

+1 for miui themeing, it is awesome, im just having a problem with the cache, it wont auto clear after ive downloaded from the market, not a massive problem, i actually restored my gv the other day but went straight back to miui as i really like the speed and the customisation. and it gets updated every friday!!
@infernalbyte i take you did the norm and fully wiped evertything? and what table are you using?

Sometimes radios and kernels can be root of the problem so Id suggest you change them to see If the issue goes away. I used to have problems with SMS for past year or so. It force closed every now and again and I tried everything from changing roms to kernels but nothing worked. But as soon I was S-OFFed I changed the radio and voila it went away for good.

Haha nah I am just as enthusiastic as you. MIUI theme rocks! I have chopped different things out of different themes to get rid of that horrid original theme on MIUI. So far I am loving it!

Cache? I am assumin you are using custom hboot table? I am glad I didnt touch them. To much hassles in my opinion!

No I'm still running stock, but I noticed that when I was downloading apps it kept failing saying not enough memory, I knew it wasn't phone memory and when I checked I only had a couple of mb of cache left, so I had to manually clear the cache file, and now its going down again, I though it should clear itself automatically?

Yup that's a strange one. Probably a bad script! Perhaps you should try 1.6.3 out today and see if that sorts out the issue...

Yes I know but Its still doesnt look right. In Froyo's version date is on the left and time is on the right with the network logo just underneath the time. Why did they have to mess with that I dont know!

Looks like the chinese devs have been listening! The date has shifted back to the left! Notification bar is slightly better now but It still needs some work! Step in the right direction never the less! Plus the force closes in SMS via contacts has gone and settings seems snappier! Well done!!

The problem is something to do with the language pack! 1.6.3 doesn't work at all with the old language pack, apparently the new pack will be here by this evening!!!! Saturday night in Amsterdam? I don't think so.
