Root GB OTA has started if you are rooted stock please read this

If the MD5 doesn't match there is a problem with the file, it was corrupted, delete and download again otherwise you could cause yourself lots of issues.

The file is still in zip format correct?

So i have been too lazy till now to get back to thinking about rooting my Thunderbolt.

I did get a notice of a planned update and told Verizon not to do it as I thought the phone could not be rooted if the firmware was updated, but then I forgot about it and they went and did it anyway.

So now I have software number 2.11.605.5 and Android 2.3.4

But if I am understanding this info correctly apparently I can still root it even with these updates? Sorry to be so dense. Is this correct?

Yes you can still root the GB OTA following the steps in the how to root sticky and using revolutionary :D
