The app is called Date in Tray. If you're using it on GB do not put a check mark in "disable pulldown view" and/or do not try to remove the check mark in "display icon", it will cause the app to force close repeatedly until you clear the app data and start over. The app hasn't been updated for GB yet.

hahahah you have no idea how painful that would be for me...
she one of the most technologically un-advanced people I know, she has less than no interest in anything computers/smartphone lol

I would be more than happy to share the information I've learned with others, but to be honest, everything I've learned, I've learned from googling, several threads here (and several VERY helpful members (Bo, Faber and Aggie just to name a few)) and by always having RSD and a SBF at the ready (along with nandroids and A TON of patience with trial and error

yeaaaaaaaahhhh.... I'll be honest... I'm a white boy and I dance like it... (not meant to offend anyone, I'm just saying me and dancing dont go well together without someone getting hurt or looking foolish)
and most times both happen
