We will find out most of these questions on Oct 29th. However I wouldn't switch from an S3, LG just gives me the willies!

There is no reason to switch from S3 to the Nexus LG, the phones will have very similar specs, just look different.

Don't waste your money ;)

What issues have you had previous with LG. Just curious.

There's so much more than just specs. If rumors are to believed, it has a quad core processor (while US versions of S3 get dual core).

But when it really gets down to it, if the radios are better performers, camera is better, battery life is better, etc.....than even if they were spec'd the same, there might be justification to upgrade.

What's holding me back is the 8gb/16gb only models and no external sd slot.

The LG G2x was basically one of the worst phones, if not the worst I've ever owned. And my brother didn't fare to much better with the Revolution. Let LG stick to making Refrigerators, and leave the Nexus phones to the BIG boys like HTC, Samsung, and hopefully moto at some point.

And there have been some people who drove a 1980 Chevy Citation and now think everything they make is garbage. Never-mind Chevy makes a Corvette.

I've had issues with Samsung phones in the past, and yet here I am with a Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Some people I know refuse to buy Motorola phones because of past experiences. Point is, you have to look at each product on it's own merits.

I doubt I will be buying the LG Nex, maybe if LG gets a little bigger in the US and really gets its game 100% on point, I'll reconsider.

To he honest I rather have an LG then a Samsung. LG builds solid phones that aren't plastic. They ONLY draw back with LG is software updates. Samsung was the same way prior to the Galaxy S II. Anyone remember how they abandoned the Samsung Behold I & II, how long it took the original Galaxy S to get updated, the Inspire, Droid Charge & Infuse to name a few. People easily forget but Samsung used to suck at updating too. I said this last year when I had my LG Thrill. They are the next phone maker to come back! The Optimus G and Nexus 4 is just a start.

So the sum it all up.......don't say LG sucks when the leading Android maker (Samsung)was in the same boat. Research the facts before expressing yourselves.

With that being said I'm sure Google knows not to bring this phone to the table with only 8 gigs.

If the only issue LG has had is software updates, then the Nexus 4 shouldn't be an issue as they won't be responsible for the update, Google will. From what I know of LG's high end phones, they have typically had nice hardware and shoddy software and updates. So long as the phone is updated by Google, this shouldn't be a problem.

So I was looking at some of the FCC stuff, not that I understand a lick of it, but I saw something about WCDMA, so I googled it thinking, oh that must be for Verizon. But I still can't figure it out. WCDMA is different than CDMA?

WCDMA is a form of UMTS, the next step up from GSM. Basically just 3G at it's base form for GSM devices. HSPA networks are built of WCDMA/UMTS networks.

Hmmm.... So maybe Verizon isn't getting this? Lol

They might get it, but if you recall last year, the gsm version was out a full month before the verizon version. sprint didn't get it for another 3-4 months after that. I expect that something similar might happen.

Unless they are going back to the strictly unlocked phone like the Nexus One, and just pricing it way cheaper than any other comparable phone. 8GB phone for $349? Or even $299?

The CDMA version of the GNex sells for way more than the GSM version. And Verizon's has 32 GB standard.
