Root Get sholes 2.0.6 now!

Go to the sholes.info site and login to the chatroom. they are chatting now and there you can download the next version to help them test it out!
 
Do the sholes installers include the 2.1 Gallery app? I can't remember and I really don't want to re-flash to find out.

Reboot into recovery mode (hold 'x' during power on), volume down until you get to install, select rom, select 2.0.6, install.

Yes, it always had.
 
Flashed 2.0.6 and so far it has been running a lot cooler than 2.0.5. I have not yet run into any problems at 1200mhz.
 
2.0.6 very smooth, runs cooler than 2.0.5 about (39c), and fast.. I do miss my droid eye boot animation though.. Overall I like it. I could never go back to 3 home screens either. I run at 1000MHz.. it is fast enough. Only 42 seconds for a full boot. The first one takes a while.
 
I'm diggin' the Sholes 2.0.6. Not a big diff from 2.0.5 or Bugless Beast 0.7.6, but they got the CPU temp working again in the kernel, which is nice.

Also, it looks great w/ xeudoxus' Hero theme :D

Is wireless tether not working in sholes a common issue?... or is it an issue in certain ROM's?.

Possibly kick me for missing where to find these, but where can I find the two above-mentioned themes. I have Metamorph up and running..
 
im going to stick with 2.0.5 until i see a MAJOR change. for those that say their stuff is running cooler, how much cooler we talking here? like only maybe a few degrees or like 5+..

You should have the sholesmod-2.0.6.rom.tgz on the root or top level of your SD card Then boot reboot into recovery and choose Install>Install from SD card>sholesmod-2.0.6.rom.tgz. It will then run the installation and ask you if you want to delete /data or not. Then it will ask you what components you would like to install. Should be pretty simple. If i am wrong someone correct me

I just tried this method and it does a nadroid backup, it dumps system tar, then dumps the data tar, then says done.then says attempting to install rom from/ sdcard/sholesmod 2.06.rom.tgz, then decompressing rom, then unpacking.sdcard sholesmod 2.06.rom.tar, then says done, when i reboot im still at 2.03. not sure what im missing.
