Root Get sholes 2.0.6 now!

The only app that is giving me problems at 1200mhz is Titanium Backup. It winds up rebooting half-way through. If I go down to 800mhz all is fine. To bad you can't set SetCPU profiles to adjust the speed for specific programs. All in all, 2.0.6 is the most stable rom I have used. Hope Sholes starts putting the infighting energy back into developing...

Flashed 2.0.6 yesterday. Temp has decreased slightly (about 5 degrees on average), all apps are working fine. Enjoying the update!

is there any problems/bugs as of now with this version of 2.0.6

For me everything is working fine (still hate the inability to turn off auto orientation at the home screen). I have tried just about everything but tethering. Still get the slight crackle when I play audio over bluetooth but only at loud volume. Again, (YMMV) this has been a very stable release.

They're having a team dispute.
Not to make fun of the situtation, but between that and the note on the new site that says "we won't get into what happened...etc", the whole thing reminds me of monte python and the holy grail at the beginning in the credits when the whole thing stops and says the management has been sacked. Then, those responsible for the sacking, have been sacked.

I can only imagine what was going on there.

Edit: I didn't see the post in this forum about what happened, before I posted this, regarding the donations, and such.

thanks for the link, now i am having a problem i must be forgetting something. the updated rom file is not on my choices to flash the new

scratch that i figured it out, now running 2.0.6 no problems encountered yet

I just tried this method and it does a nadroid backup, it dumps system tar, then dumps the data tar, then says done.then says attempting to install rom from/ sdcard/sholesmod 2.06.rom.tgz, then decompressing rom, then unpacking.sdcard sholesmod 2.06.rom.tar, then says done, when i reboot im still at 2.03. not sure what im missing.

Yea I tried it today and have the same problem. Im not sure whats going on....

I upgraded to the 2.0.6 and the Tether is not working and SetCPU is nothing working either. Talked to the SETCPU Dev and he says its the ROM and the Sholes guys tell me they do not know how to fix it. I guess just another app that needs some attention

i had a problem with 2.0.6 as well might was my phone shutting its self down randomly..it was when i was doing nothing and i was only overclocked at 800

did it twice after that i went back to previous version and havnt had a problem since

No problems here.

Meh, o`well maybe it was just me and my phone. Un-rooted manually using another technique from another forum. Maybe the 2.1 will give me what I am looking for

After all the hype about sholes having issues I wanted to know if they would be able to keep moving on, so I downloaded the new dmupdater and gave 2.0.6 a shot. I'm not overly pleased, in fact I'm personally irritated. Maybe I'm wrong here but I thought their roms included a non drawer alp pull out, nope. Wifi tethering doesn't work. No button backlights seem to work. I also thought sholes was to be the "easy" way to install roms and have the root goodies. I personally will stick with doing it "old school" as I heard it called. I think if your going to root you should know how to do it all yourself, thus if something doesn't work you will know where to start fixing it. Maybe a lot of people will think I'm wrong but as I did state this is my personal preference. To each is there own...

Droidmod has released there new updater (DMUpdater). To get it go to droidmod.org from your droid and download it and install it. It should show you the ROMs and lastest rom. They are back folks and only going to get better.

These are the guys who brought us SMUpdater they changed to Droid Mod

Crazy,

Wifi tethering works for me and the button back lights work for me. I have been running 2.0.6 (build 156) since it was out in beta. At is have ran stable as ever. Also since DMUpdater came out today i updated using that go to 2.0.6 (build 157) with no problems. Everything is woring great. Backlights and everything.

I am typing this from my cpu while being wifi tethered to my droid on 2.0.6

I am super happy with 2.0.6. Everything is working perfectly! I actually tried Bugless 7.9(coming from 2.0.5)-which of course broke my root- BUT I wanted the live wallpapers. So I decided to Nandroid my Droid back to bone stock, and teach myself the hard way to root /busybox/install recovery and a new ROM from scratch.

I installed today before the DMUpdater was available. Since then I have applied the new Live Wallpaper patch, a new bootanimation(to me anyhow),changed the system font, and done two Metamorphs(two of them so I could have blue AND glass themes together). I have DxTop so the interactive wallpapers do what they should. Overclocked to 1G-sometimes 1.2G depending on what I'm doing.

Even after all THAT, 2.0.6 is still rock stable, not a single FC, and barely any lag to speak of- My Droid is the best it's ever been:D

More Screenshots to follow.. trying to decide whether to start a new thread on that subject, though(that and my learning experience).

EDIT: Forgot to mention this post was done through the Wireless Tether app included in 2.0.6
