Root Getting Droid X Root question

I just moved from a BB Storm 1 to a Droid X as well. LauncherPro handles the majority of the theming I feeling I need right now, so I'd strongly recommend it until you get comfortable with the differences between Android and BB OS.

I'm doing research right now in order to root my phone and start tweaking it a little more. It's definitely not something you really need to do when first making the switch though, there is plenty to play with and explore even with stock Android and LauncherPro.

Here's my one last final stupid question.

The Droid X has the ability to connect to the internet via wireless without rooting it right? Like if I went to a restaurant that had wireless internet, I could connect to it yes?

yes absolutly. wifi is built in. as long as the network doesnt have a password or as long as you have the password you should be able to connect to wifi
