Root Getting OTA update notifications

Hi,

I just rooted my wife's newly acquired ally using gingerbreak and got Velocity v1.0 loaded on it (dont want v1.1 since i hear pandora is not working and my wife uses that all the time) and she showed me the other day that she recieved an OTA update notification. Are OTA updates enabled in this build of Velocity? If so, is there a way to disable it? Thanx in advance.

You won't get the update notification in Velocity 1.1 because a script release fooled the phone into thinking it was running 2.2.2 instead of 2.2.1 which it really is.
As far as I know there is no such script update for Velocity 1.0 and any phone reporting it's still on 2.2.1 is still going to get the update notifications, no way around it.

Just download the OTA and when it tells you its going to restart, it never does :D I am on Velocity 1.0

I'd suggest just flashing v1.1 and updating the scripts to v38. As for Pandora, you can find and download v1.4. Be careful if you OC, though - doing that caused Pandora to act wonky.
