not sure if this will help anyone or not, or if any of you are using the app or not. I had a friend of mine at work that also has the x that had terrible battery drain after the update, like a full discharge in a few hours with no use. Took it back to verizon and they told him it was lookout mobile security causing it. He uninstalled it and is now getting like 1-1.5 days of use out of it with moderate use.
No issues here, battery has been just as good if not better.

I totally agree with you!I still have a hard time understanding the people who are EXTREMELY disappointed that their phone doesn't last more than one day. I'm constantly hearing people talk about how they now have to charge their phone EVERY night, while the phone they had before lasted 2, 3 4 or even 5 days before having to recharge it. Now don't get me wrong, I DO understand if your not able to make it through the day, but most of the complaints I hear are about only making it a day and a half. Or, I was all the way down to 20 percent when I plugged it in last night to go to bed. I'm just not getting it. I've tried to come up with reasons why it is so difficult to put the phone on the charger but I just can't come up with anything. Well.... I came up with one. If you don't have electricity and you have a generator connected to a stationary bike to charge your phone. That would be very inconvenient but I'm guessing that is pretty unlikely.
For me, if I make it through the day and my phone dies on me just as I lay down to go to bed. That is perfect! That means I'm getting the most power out of my phone, it's as fast as it can run and get me through the day. If I have half a battery left, that means to me that the phone needs to be overclocked so I get more speed throughout the day. It takes me 5 seconds to plug my phone in at night. By having a processor speed that kills my battery by bed time, I'm saving a lot more than 5 seconds.
