Root Gingerbread IS ROOTED

for those of you having trouble overclocking with jrummys app. get the milestone overclock for free from the market.

open the app and apply module.
then goto jrummys app
if the module still does not load goto settings and uncheck 'disable module'

this is what i did to get it working.

Quick question --- gonna SBF to get this update, I've never done it...seems simple enough from reading here, but how much time should I block in for it? I gotta get to work in about an hour....should I just wait until I get home after work? THANKS!

i would wait to be safe. it takes about 30 minutes for the sbf+flashing new rom + setup.

Would love to get gingerbread on the phone, I have Dx bootstrap on right now, but from reading the thread you need D2 bootstrap. Do you need to uninstall DX bootstrap, then install D2 Bootstrap?

you need D2 to work with the new GB. you can have both versions of bootstrap i do.
 
Thanks Tom, will backups done on dx bootstrap restore with d2 bootstrap? with both loaded, how do you switch back and forth on wich one comes up after reboot. I am a newbie to the 9th degree.

backups should work fine. its just a different method of booting to clockwork recovery.

Does anyone know where I can get the d2 bootstrapper without paying again? Kouch's link is broken (hmm) and I already bought the DX version and don't feel like paying again. Thanks

using DX CWR coming from liberty 1.5, now i get te "M"powered logo followed by bootloader..

why wont RSDlite work? its worked just fine before except the info boxes in the top left didnt have such info displayed

edit: Oh im also a D2 user and this is the affected device aswell

Hopefully they come out with a patch for the recovery fix so the people that already installed and just run the patch and not have to sbf.

Would love some other method than flashing back. Just got everything set on my home screen assuming the root would be coming in the method of a set of commands/scripts not in a new update.zip.
