Help Gingerbread keyboard apk help...

I'm not rooted but I have installed the gingerbread keyboard .apk. It looks like it worked but how do I actually select it as my default keyboard? Thanks in advance!

go to any text field and longpress...choose input method

How did u get the APK to install? I've tried a few different versions of the APK that are floating around the internet and they wont work. Mind sharing how u did this or even sharing the APK file u used?

If I am not mistaken you need to be rooted and flash through recovery.
