It seems like your saying 2.3.4 would be bad. Am I misunderstanding you? 2.3.4 seems like it would be nice to have.

at the time, it was meant to hint that the official release of GB might be delayed even longer due to that leak. doesn't seem to matter now, though.

Why does EVO have it already but Epic doesn't?

Because the HTC EVO 4G was released on June 4th, 2010... and the Epic 4G was released on August 31st, 2010. The HTC EVO 4G received Android 2.3 on June 4th 2011 (Exactly 1 year following release), so if that's any indication on the Epic, it should receive 2.3 by the end of August at the latest... but based on leaks and rumor, it may be sooner than that.

Also noteworthy that they both shipped with Android 2.1 when they were released, and the EVO received 2 OS updates in 1 year, and it looks like the same will happen with the Epic, right on schedule.

That's interesting. Personally I would think the Epic would be first since it's newer but I guess Sprint doesn't agree.

Sprint will update EVO first because 1) it came out first and 2) EVO is the golden child for Sprint.

They have every reason to update EVO before EPIC, based simply on the fact that there have been and still are WAY more EVOs sold than EPICs.

I disagree, the Evo should receive it 1st. Evo is Sprints flagship device and deserved to get the update 1st, the Epic will/is getting it at the same kind of pace which is fair.

based on that..
and when they both got froyo...

would that mean..
epic will get GB 6months after evo????:eek:

Something for everyone to look forward to. I am running the ef02 leak but noticed horrible battery life at first. After reading around, i boot into recovery mode and cleared cached three times. I also performed the battery calibration found on XDA (search it) in attempt to fix my battery drain problem. After doing this, my battery life has increased like insane! Im at 1 day 13hrs and still have 60% battery life remaining! How the hell did gingerbread optimize this phone that much over froyo? Anyways, im not complaining! No need for an extended battery as i thought!

hey, y'all, sprint site is shipping epic 4g with 2.3. check it out. looks like the early july build is going to be released soon.

Oh where oh where did my Gingerbread go? Oh where oh where could it be?

LMAO:D
