Root Gingerbread Recovery Changes

I d/l'd the recovery add-on, because I couldn't get into recovery. It worked fine and I the volume buttons thingy worked fine. :) Thanks!

Ok, having a problem and reaching out here. Seems like a bootloader problem.

Installed gingerroot, had an issue with corporate snyc and didn't want to screw around with it too much so I booted back into clockwork and restored my Apex Nandroid. Looks like something got messed up since I can't get past the red "M" logo.

Volume Down + camera doesn't do anything. Power + Search gets me to the black bootloader screen (battery OK, Ok to program, connect USB). I have RSDlite setup, and the SBF ready to go but hitting "Start" does nothing.

Any ideas?

you need to put your phone into the bootloader and then use RSD to flash the SBF
You can not go from Gingerbread to a Froyo backup

Yea, I gather that. :o:o I'm a dummy

It seems like I can't get into the proper bootloader for RSDlite to recognize the phone...should I be in the black bootloader screen?

turn the phone off then
hold the Volume Down Button + Camera Button + Power Button

should go to the black bootloader screen with white writing
(also I would not have the phone plugged in doing this, once you get it to the bootloader screen then plug in the usb cable)

Power down your phone. Then hold 'vol down', the 'camera button', and the 'power button'. You'll see a bootloader version (should be 30.0X). Then plug in your phone and SBF away.

Ok thanks guys, just verifying I am indeed in the correct bootloader. Must be an RSDlite issue.

It was. booted up my laptop and it's currently SBFing along. Thanks again all.

Mods feel free to delete, move, whatever as this wasn't a bootloader problem at all.

Is there any way to SBF with a mac that does not have windows or linux? I have an older mac g5 and can not run windows on it
