Root gingerbread rom

[aardys]

are there any gingerbread roms that run perfectly on the desire .
as there are factory phones that have gingerbread on them now, , just thought there might be a perfect running one for the desire .
so far all i read about are the problems

oh yeh , does gingerbread have sence ? ...i gota have that ...

[Rastaman-FB]

what problems have you read about?

gingerbread doesnt have sense

you maybe getting mixed up a little when you mention problems
on other threads people have mentioned issues theyve had when moving from a different rom or using a bad kernel. gingervillian itself is very stable and so is oxygen (but doesnt have a video camera)
its no more unstable than any other desire rom

[aardys]

no sence
ok thanks

[Hadron]

no sence

Sense is an HTC thing - you won't see that on Gingerbread until HTC release a gingerbread device, or an update for one of their current ones. Right now all GB roms are Android Open Source Project.

[aardys]

long live the HTC thing then
so if HTC relese htc gingerbread.
will i be able to get the rom , or has root ruined that for me ?

Theres always a way

Yeah, if HTC release a GB ROM for the Desire it'll be available pre-rooted very quickly. If they release it for another device first (more likely IMO) I expect it will be ported.

sense would make 2.3 pointless infact i dont even know what 2.3 offers over 2.2 even though im using it lol
