So far I see we're picking up two new apps ( ccname and music3 ).
ccname allows you to put a name of your choice instead the verizon-rule the air.

Also after rebooting I'm getting a "roaming indicater flashing" flashing on my screen.

Did you change the name to put a quotation mark (") in the name? Angle brackets? Parentheses?
Known issue: xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM] GSB v1.7 | GingerBread 2.3.2 [CM7.0.0 RC1 NIGHTLY][2-23-2011]
Just use normal words in the name.
But why is the roaming triangel flashing. I've rebooted about five times already.

Does anybody really know the difference between Ondemand and Smartass?
My old timey TV thingy is gone again (and it's enabled) and rebooting didn't bring it back this time.![]()
BTW, V1.7 is up and going to flash it now.....hoping it takes care of my MMS issues where I can't send NOR receive pictures... :-(
Anyone able to shed some light on what JIT is?
Well I'm guessing you worked out the problem of moving files.

Do you all think it's worth flashing from a v1.6 to 1.7, or wait for what I feel like is an inevitable other update!
Will it wipe away all my settings and information? Just because I spent time setting up 1.6.
Go into recovery and do a backup then wipe dalvic then flash the zip then gapps and reboot.
If you want more space, flash cache2cache right after gapps and before you reboot.
I flashed cache2cache and didn't see an improvement but I don't have a ton of apps either.
