Gizmodo is pulling a BGR

That is one of the most appalling pieces of "journalism" every written and is a testament to why print media needs to continue existing (because online blogs and such have no editorial filters, so as*clowns like this guy can essentially get all coked up and write what they want, sanctity of their profession be damned).

If you read some of the comments below the article, there are even Apple Kool-Aid drinkers who don't cosign on this guy's slop.

Evidently, he's a clown and has some sort of cross to bare with the Note from prior rantings he's made.

Somebody's got a Napolean complex it seems to me! lol

Ummmm... just for clarity, are you talking about this article, or the whole site in general?

LOL!

edit: This was my response on Facebook

Wow, I hardly ever take anything posted on Gizmodo seriously, this is one of them, but I DID find it entertaining at the very least. :D

Even if I don't totally agree. Just because 5+million people (world wide) bought this phone, does not mean that it will be the defact-o standard at all! Samsung went into this area KNOWING it was going to be a Niche Market at best. They got lucky and that Niche was pretty big.

Other manufacturers are jumping on this bandwagon to make their own "Phablets", but the demand (on a global scale) is so small in comparison to the mainstream handsets that they will not suddenly abandon the "normal" sized handsets and just go huge.

Oh well... This guys always been a tool on here with his articles, taking things out of context to twist to his own agenda, it's just now comical anytime he writes something. :D

I had to double-check the date to see if it were April 1. :) I'm only 5'10" and have what I feel to be average size hands, and I don't feel it's too big. I think if my hands were smaller, the phone would be comparitively larger, and that would be great! The bigger the better!!

I'm a big guy. 6'5" and have huge hands (I can palm a basketball without any issues at all). I am fine with smaller phone and honestly, I don't even use my big hands as a reason to have this phone. I just wanted the damn thing for the 5"+ screen, not to fit in my hand or anything!!!

I used to carry a phone and 10" tablet. Now, I just carry the phone. This was the real purpose of buying this phone!

I'll admin, when I first got it (and sometimes feel this way today) I thought it might be too big. Now that I have had it for several weeks, I love it and have gotten used to it.

I have a co-worker here with smaller hands (a little smaller than average really) and she thought the same thing. We both understood that it can take some getting used too.

Lo and behold, we BOTH got used to them and they are fine fits for us now.

This is not just got big people, this is for ANYONE that wants to have a form factor like this one and is willing to give it a shot and try to get used to it.

Akin to someone who loses their leg. At first it's a bit of an adjustment, but eventually, it becomes second nature as you get more and more used to it. (yeah, if you don't like this analogy, then oh well). lol!

It's as good an analogy as any, Talderon lol...and its true, it doesn't take long to acclimate to the size. Yes it's bigger than virtually any other phone at the moment, but the overall size is still in the manageable range for a daily driver phone. Any bigger, and I could see a potential issue there. But its a crazy assumption to think that this will set the stage for all phones to soon become unwieldly behemoths. Its not for everyone, granted, but neither is a 3.5" screen. Even if you don't care for the Note, at least take into consoderation that it's an option, and that it fills a particular demand in the market (albeit a smallish one).

This piece of work from Gizmodo prompted me to come speak my mind especially to those who might now be turned away from the Note.

Similar to you i'm 6'1 with big man hands and for me this makes iGadgets nearly unusable. I can't open tiny links on screens designed primarily for women and children with my large fingers. Even with the bigger screen on the gNote it can be difficult without zooming at times. I also bought a big SLR camera because compacts and other micro-gadgets just don't feel comfortable to me. But what it should come down to is personal preference and we should have choices as to what fit's our individual needs or reflects our style.

Nobody is forcing anyone to buy the Note if someone finds it to big there are plenty of other options available. There is also no point in having three similar size variations of the Nexus or the S2 to simply compete with the iPhone. Those who want a comparable yet smaller device have the choice of going with the S2 or Nexus and or waiting for one of the many other devices such as the S3 to be released. I held out a long time hoping for a phone like the Note and left Sprint to get it after almost buying the Photon which probably would have been a huge regret.

I have wanted a smaller Nookish (already have a Nook) tablet for tethering with my camera and dumping onto cheaper SD cards. But the iPad (no SD support) and the Galaxy Tab were to large to be practical for sticking in my back pocket. Yet at the same time the others would have been to small to really fill my want for a compact tablet. Also for me it was also not worth the hassle of changing carriers for something comparable to what was already out there since last year.

AT&T and Samsung made a smart move they took a risk at breaking the mold and it paid off in a big way. Maybe they wont sell 50 million of these devices but for sure they will sell more then enough to make other carriers step up with better offerings. It also forces Apple to make a bigger move with their next set of offerings other then packing more pixels in the screens at a cost of shorter battery life. I would think the Android haters at Gizmodo would be happy to see the bar raised as Samsung decided to quit following the motto of smaller being better.

The only ones who would accept that type of opinionated garbage from Gizmodo are the masses of media sheep. Just look at the Sam Biddle's Facebook Avatar and it should be obvious this guy is a professional troll. Makes me wonder if this letter was supposed to actually be posted on April 1st and got pushed out early just to ruffle some feathers.

The truth is that if that one man writing a very obviously biased article against the Note is enough to turn anyone away, then let them turn away.
The note is far to innovative, and unique, for the followers out there anyway. It is a device for people who know what they want, and aren't easily swayed by other people's opinions. Google, and especially the Note seem to be made more for forward thinkers, and people who aren't afraid to color outside the lines.
I am a tiny woman with lady sized hands, and I love my Note, and all that it can do. I have no trouble holding it and have never dropped it.
I don't text or make calls while driving, so that one handed thing has never been something I do much of anyway.
To each his own, but I would never call someone stupid because their choices are not mine.
