Looking like there may be a worldwide shortage of the Pebble Blue handset at release, unknown yet whether priority markets like the UK will be affected... AndroidNZ: Breaking news: Samsung Galaxy S III - global shortage of "Pebble Blue" handsets imminent?

Be interested to know whether anyone in the UK has confirmation of Pebble Blue handsets coming to them? So far buyers in Thailand, Malaysia, NZ, and Dubai confirm only the white available to them at release...

[UPDATE] Dutch site tweakers.net is reporting that production problems to the Pebble Blue rear-casing have been confirmed by Samsung Benelux PR Manager Vivian Peters. They report that Samsung has destroyed 600,000 of the rear casings and made adjustments to the production process, however the adjustments will not prevent delays in bringing Pebble Blue to that market.
 
I've got 2 blue SGSIII's on order from tmobile UK that i should recieve within 2 days of launch, that'll do me.

News from Samsung has confirmed a delay in the arrival of the first stock. This has been delayed until what we understand to be next week, but this is still to be confirmed.

Your order will be held in preparation for the stock arriving and as soon as it does, your order will be shipped and a notification sent to you by email.

Please be aware that this delay is outside of our control and stems from Samsung. We are simply passing on the most accurate information we have.

It is in our interest to ship orders as soon as we can and we would love to ship yours sooner if we could.
 
Ouch, thats gotta suck for you dude, I hope you find it well worth the wait when you finally receive it though.
 
I'm getting my blue S3 on june 22 (just read it on my mobile company's website), due to these problems.
I could switch to white, but I want a blue one, so I'm sticking with it.
 
I pre ordered a blue S3 through Vodafone and got an email today informing me that there will be a delay now of between 2 to 4 weeks. A bit annoyed at that!
 
Anyone got any recent updates regarding pebble blue availability in store at Carphone Warehouse? I pre-ordered mine on 4th May and went in to double check on Friday. They confirmed it then, but I'm wondering whether a) the situation has changed since then or b) they have enough to fulfil preorders but no general availability.

Would be grateful of any confirmed updates from them.
 
Pebble blue Samsung Galaxy S3 delayed

Updated Samsung: "Pebble blue version expected in the next 2-3 weeks"

"In order to meet the highest internal quality standards and to provide the best quality GALAXY S III to customers, a short supply of Pebble Blue version is expected in some regions in the next 2-3 weeks.

"Samsung is working hard to ensure that customers will get the Pebble Blue coloured devices as soon as possible."

Update: O2 has said: "The Samsung Galaxy S3 is the most pre-ordered Android phone in O2's history and we want to give everyone who has pre-ordered the best possible experience.
"Samsung has said there is a worldwide shortage of blue Samsung Galaxy S3s so they will be available in extremely limited numbers. The white version will be available from all O2 channels on 30 May."


Update: A T-Mobile spokesperson also confirmed the delay: "We can confirm we have received stock of the white variant of the handset and expect to be able to fulfil all the pre-orders we've received for this device at launch.

"However, we've been advised by the manufacturer of a shipping delay on the pebble blue version.

"Although we expect to receive stock shortly, we are contacting customers who have pre-ordered this colour to let them know that there may be a slight delay, and to reassure them we will look to fulfil their order as swiftly as possible."
 
Despite carphone warehouse confirming a few days ago that I could collect mine today I have received a text saying that now I can't. According to their website it well be unavailable until the 19th June. I wouldn't have been too bothered as I wad kind of expecting delays. The thing that annoyed me is that they had already told me it would be available before they even knew if they had the stock. Then just to rub salt into the wounds they left it till the last possible moment to tell me otherwise.
 
I got told the same thing, 3 store rang me again today saying they are holding a White one for me if I want it, decisions decisions 😳
 
This sucks, just confirmed the supplier i'm using has no Blue versions, only white.

Might settle for white, would prefer the Blue version but I don't want to wait a few more weeks. :(
 
Not only this guys but, since there were so many preorders, some stores haven't even received the phones! So happy I rang my local P4U before heading down there, they're not getting stock until Friday and have also told me that the other phone shops also haven't received the S3 yet. Sucks.
