Help Gmail Does Not Work

I reset my phone and lost my contacts and i have reset my password with Gmail and when i go to the account from my phone it keeps reading password incorrect.Do i need to cancel my gmail account and start a new one?

Have you tried to reset the password? remove the account and redo it with correct password. maybe you put in a typo. I know I've done it before.
