As my eyeballs are in the 50+ range I find it hard to read emails in the Gmail app..I can't see an obvious way to increase font size..any ideas?

Are you using a captivate? In my gmail app when I press menu>more all I have for options is mute or report spam

Yes, I'm on a Captivate... though now that I think about it, I'm running Gmail v2.3 on a 2.2 cognition ROM. It's possible that the settings option isn't available on the 2.1 version of Gmail.

So I guess that will be updated with the "official" 2.2-that is if it ever is released. I suppose eventually I'll root and install 2.2..for now I don't have the time

I use an app call Font Size. It increase the font in Gmail and text to a readable size for us older folks. only thing is it increase ALL system fonts so
fonts associate with some widget get oversize and dont' display right.

Waiting on official 2.2 also.
