Help Gmail wont send email, crashes constantly

[MrXBob]

Updated to 2.1-update1 and everything is fine other than Gmail.

I can't send any emails at all, they just sit in the outbox saying "sending". If I long press on any of them, I get an error:

The application Google Mail (process com.google.android.gm) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

I can recieve emails with no problems. I've cleared the cache and data for Gmail, I've rebooted the phone countless times, restarted the gmail process etc etc

Not sure if it will help any, but Google recently made an update to Gmail available via the Market. Try installing that and see if it cures the problem?
