I am running Cyanogen RC2 and have had issues with Gmail not syncing. So I googled it and some seem to suggest that the absence of Talk causes Gmail not to sync correctly. I do not have Talk installed and not sure when it was removed (by update or by me somehow?) I tried to find the talk.apk and gtalkservice.apk needed but have had no luck for 2.2. Anyone that can point me int he right direction would be much appreciated.
