Is anyone having issues connecting to gmail? My phone connects to everything else fine, but shows a no connection for gmail. (11:06am eastern)

Starting to think my Droid is on the verge of dying. It is rebooting on its own for the heck of too. And runs warm even when I am not running any apps. Yippie...only me.

rebooting on its own, I'd go ahead and walk that bad boy into the nearest VZW store and trade em for a different one.

I had to refresh my gmail manually from the menu button, but it still isn't displaying new emails (though, when I go to the "acounts" option it shows me the correct number of unread mail. Anything else I should be doing?

i have no idea if this will fix it but try this
1) Go into the settings menu for the phone
2) Choose applications
3) Choose Manage Applications
4) Under Manage Applications set the Filter to ALL. Not sure why this isn't the default but c'est la vie.
5) Scroll down and choose GMail Storage
6) Tap the botton for Clear Data
7) Head on over into GMail and VOILA!

Gmail is back and running, but the reboots have not stopped. Went on down to the Verizon store and they are having a new one shipped to me by Weds. So until then I have to tolerate the reboots. At least they were able to hook me up. I was kind on surprised there was not a single Droid in Columbus Ohio.

Thank for the help

Thanks Jestex, this either helped or solved the problem all together. While in Gmail, there was an option to Manage Space. Once there, I was able to refresh the sync. After that, boom, its all back to normal. So thanks, for if nothing else, pointing me in the right direction.
