Is this still a good phone? I'll have one tomorrow to replace my bionic. Is it set to get an official 4.1 OTA?

I have it on Verizon, it's been a really great phone, right now it's running 4.0.4 and as far as I know, IS set to get 4.1... I created a post the other day asking if we would get the update with this ban from Apple going on.. I sure as hell hope we do because it'll make the GNex so damn good haha. iPhone killer for sure.

If not, my S3 ships on the 11th :-)

You can already get jelly bean with the gnex. and Google is saying a week from now the new gnex's that are sold will come with 4.1 so the ban will be lifted. I don't know if this means that an ota is coming next week but it will be soon. The gnex is definitely going to be the first phone with jelly bean though.

I am running a JB rom on my VZW GNex and I love it! Hopefully it will come sooner rather than later on VZW, especially since Google is not doing a seperate OTA to fix the patent issues, they are just incorporating it directly into JB. Which means Verizon will be forced to stop selling them once their stock is depleted until they push out the update. Actually when you think about it, pretty smart of Google, Verizon took 2 months to push out 4.0.4, so this is a good way to get them moving faster.

I have the Nexus on VZ and love the device. I received the Nexus on 7/28 and noticed an issue. The Nexus would intermittently lose data/cell signal. I took the phone back to Verizon at which point they replaced the sim card but the problem still occured. I called the VZ tech and explained to him what I was experiencing and the tech forward me to tier 2 tech support. At any rate the guy explained to me that the radio on the Nexus is the weakest compared to the other phones. He told me to exchange the phone for another Nexus which I did and I have not experienced the issue since.
