How have you guys sloved the volume to low problem. I have the app Volume plus but it is still low. It is so low that trying to watch a movie with ear headsets on a plane is not possible. And that is volume all the way up. Is thre a fix I am missing or an app that will help? All help appreciated.

Well, planes are ridiculously loud.... most of the time you don't notice it until you have to crank the volume way up on your headphones. That said, Volume+ works fine for me. What do you have it set at? Are you sure you adjusted the right options?

For speaker: Should be Speaker Settings > Speaker Modifications CHECKED
Volume level > set to 7 and see how that sounds. I use 8.

For headphones: Headset Settings > Speaker Modifications CHECKED
Volume level > set to 4 and see how that sounds. I left mine at 0 but haven't tried on a plane yet.

I amset on 10 not 7 or 8. It is wide open. Also the settingsare all correct. It hashad low volume since day one. You can hear a call in a normal enviroment on wide open but if there is any wind noise or anything else you can not hear the call. Music thru headphones BOSE is very low wide open.

Question, can you hear the difference if you change it to 3 or 4? If not, Volume+ must not be working properly. I just tried adjusting mine and it made no difference. I wonder if volume+ stopped working. I think I am running v 1.8 and I think 1.9 is out now so maybe I need an update...

So here's what I came up with...
1. Rebooting my phone got volume+ working again.
2. There is a version 1.9 out now that is supposed to be better than the 1.8 version I have
3. I don't notice a huge difference between +1 and +10 to be honest. There's a difference for sure but the steps are in tiny increments.
4. Setting anything above +10 seems to be the same as setting it to 0. I don't know if its something the app does or if there's some circuitry in the phone that prevents it from going to high or what....

I'll try installing version 1.9 and see what comes of it...

{UPDATE}

I installed 1.9 and the volumes SEEM to be higher. Also, you CAN go above +10.

NOTE - there is a recommendation in the app that if you are running a stock ICS Rom you may need to go to the phone's main menu..... Settings > Sound > Music effects and select "Volume+" to make it work right.
