Root Go Launcher Ex

I just installed go launcher ex and now the way I had my home screen has changed. Looks like I have redo my home screen again. What exactly does this do. If this has been talked about before then lead me in the right direction. Thanks all.

I was using Go Launcher (not EX) before making the change. I saved the configuration in GoLauncher, switched to Go Luancher EX, and restored the configuration. Most things were there, but it looks like widgets will not transfer. I had to reinstall those.

unfortunately youll have to set your homescreens for each launcher you use. if theres a way to set one up automaitcally like the others i have no idea what it is

im currently on celb 4.3 and using launcher pro. what is the launcher you just installed? is it sposed to be a lil quicker?

Go Launcher EX

Pretty similar to Launcher Pro.

I installed go launcher ex. I see alot of chatter about launchers so I downloaded it. I don't know what they do.

The launcher is just another name for a home screen app. When you install a different home screen application, or a different launcher, it starts out with a default configuration, just like the Sense launcher did on the Eris when you first got it.

You can go back to whichever launcher you were using in a number of ways:

- uninstall Go. Press Home and it will ask you to choose which launcher you want, with a checkbox to make it the default. This will always show up when you press home until you make one the default, IIRC.
- install the app Home Switcher and use that to change your default home
- go into settings->applications->manage applications, find Go EX, tap it, scroll down and press the button "clear defaults". Now when you press Home it will do the same thing I described in the first step.
