As far as the Go SMS is concerned, I've found (at least according to other friends) that they receive my texts a lot faster than when I was using Handcent SMS or even Chomp SMS.
Has anyone else noticed this as well, or am I just waaay out in left field with this?

thanks!to get the icon files first make a backup of the theme apk
use astro to browse the apk file. The icons are located at res/drawable-hdpi
copy/paste it somewhere on your sd to use the icons however you wish
One thing that my default launcher had, that Go Launcher doesn't is a button to go to Manage Applications.
I would rather have that in the quick menu rather then "Share". I can't even seem to find a way to put an icon in the dock that will do that.
There are also a couple of things about the way scrolling works in Go Launcher that bug me. The worst thing is that in the Apps Drawer, scrolling is a bit choppy and you don't have the same kind of smoothness and control that you do elsewhere. It goes from too slow to too fast, and it doesn't glide enough on the slower speeds. That one thing is almost enough for me to scrap Go Launcher and go back to the default MotoBlur. Compare it to Root Explorer, and you'll see what I mean.
The second thing is that when scrolling the dock, it doesn't scroll smoothly. There's like an elastic choppyness. I wish it would just scroll smoothly.
And does anyone know if it's possible to:
1. Set Go Launcher so that pressing the Home key resets the Dock position in addition to the screen?
2. Disable that bottom row in the Apps Drawer - the one that's there only for the redundant Home key? I already have a Home button, so why give up a row of screen space for another?
you, my friend, should look into App Monster. If I'm reading you correctly, it's an app that'll manage your apps, and you can put it right there in the dock (or swipepad, or wherever).
Can't help you with your other problems, except the elasticity thing... I seem to remember a specific function in Go Launcher's settings somewhere specifically dedicated to "elasticity effect when scrolling." Play around with that maybe? And you can try changing some of the scrolling speeds.
I didn't see anything in App Monster's description that would suggest that it does something I want. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
Hmm.. what is it exactly you want to do with apps? I'm sure there's something out there... just so we're on the same page, App Monster is essentially a replacement for the "manage applicationss" menu setting... it lets you uninstall/back up, etc.
Maybe not QUITE as good as the "manage apps" menu setting, but it might still work for what you're trying to do.
Also, dunno if I'm just misunderstanding you and telling you something you already know (sorry if I am)... but in go launcher's dock I believe you can long-press and "change shortcut" to the manage apps menu setting.
I'm not looking to replace "Manage Apps". I'm just saying that there is no longer a shortcut to it when using Go Launcher, and it's no longer possible to create a shortcut to it either. At least from what I can see.

Go ahead, see if you can do it. It's inside of the main Settings, so there's no pre-existing shortcut in the Apps List to bring you there that I can point to.

Long-Press the dock key you wish to assign. Press Shortcut. Press Settings. Press Manage Applications.
You can also create a shortcut to Manage Applications on the desktop the same way. Just Long-Press on the desktop, then do the rest of the steps.

I finally made the full leap from Launcherpro this evening... feels good, man.
