Help Go launcher issue.

Just highlighting this to you as ive come across it and i thought it was a problem with my phone

seems since the latest update of go launcher they have introduced a memory leak issue.
my phone was lagging like hell even though cpu usage was normal and after each restart of the phone it was fine.
i cleared all applications that were running as tasks and did resolve it. phone was still laggy when using the launcher.

turned out that its GO itself and other programs outside of this function fine.
If you go into menu>preferences>exit go launcher it will refresh GO correctly and it will behave as normal for about 24hrs

That was probably part of my issue. I never did reinstall GO. I'm running the stock launcher now.

Good catch - I'd had some problems which I'd not tracked down yet. This could be it for me too.

Luckily for me I keep a short history rather than a single Ti backup, so have restored an earlier version. Will see how that goes.

This is probably affecting me too! phone slows down, needs a reboot...

I use Go launcher and since a few days ago sometimes when I re-boot my widgets refuse to load. Exiting Go and restarting seems to sort it.

Hm, I'm OK with this but slightly perplexed why this would be the case. Guess I'll just keep my eye on it. Was it affecting day-to-day functionality such as opening/closing app drawer? Changing homescreens?

it became very laggy and just not as responsive, jittery as if the cpu was being throttled

Don't think this ever got resolved. I was running 3.0.2, and I had the same issues. Uninstalled and went back to the stock launcher (running Andromeda 3.0 on my SGH-I897 Captivate) and the issue seems to be resolved. I do like the launcher, but I can't operate like that.

It was resolved the very next version. I've updated to every version since and can confirm the memory (RAM) leak issue no longer exists
