Goodbye Droid X...Hello iphone (VZW)...

I am planning on making the switch.. I am so sick of looking for a better launcher to make up for the junk known as blur. (i will say ADWex is amazing though) and i firmly believe just to make the DX a good phone you need to spend at least 10-15 dollars in apps and on principle that drives me nuts.
 
can we ban the OP, or just throw something at him?
i remember in the Eris threads that people were warned left and right when they made threads saying goodbye to the Eris. Seeing as how people are now deliberately posting about going to the iphone to make other users mad, i think some action should be taken.
I think 4 lashes with a frozen hose will do.

i haven't spent a dime making my phone exactly how I want it. Rooted running Apex and adw and my phone is faster then any other phone i've seen

I didn't intend to make waves at all! I knew someone would post something like this, so I just beat them to the punch :)

However, your idea about the lashings is cool with me; I've been in trouble while visiting the Philippines, so I am used to it...:D

Hey, hate me all you want, but my sister and I are both switching to the iPhones! :D They're amazing devices that do exactly what we want/need them to do. And don't use the "you must not be an advanced user" argument against me either, because my phone is rooted, deodexed (manually), and I was running Apex until I SBF'd back to stock .340 and applied a GBread theme. I'm also going to school to be a computer engineer. The argument that iPhone users are less technical is a load of crap IMO.
 
The only thing i am worried about is if the iphone 4gs or whatever has a bigger screen. It is going to be soo hard going back to a 3.5 and i will be kicking myself if in a few months it does have a big screen.

A lot of people will be kicking themselves if they jump on Feb. 10th. June they will announce a new version, you're stuck in the 2 year agreement with the 4 etc. I'm glad it's on VZW now but I'd personally wait if I was doing this.

I know they won't release it in June but still, it's a few months, unless you can sell it off on craigslist or something.

I've had both iphone and android and they are both great platforms, more = better for us like a lot of other people have said. They will push each other now and we'll benefit big time, well hopefully :)

What is it that android phones don't do that iphones are exactly what you want/need?
 
Today, on the business news, they were saying that iPhone 4 coming to Vzw, was too little too late. They said that with the advent of LTE iPhone for vzw was behind the times and not to rush out to buy apple or verizon.

I found that odd.

What you said. I love my iMac but the iPhone has nothing on my Droid X. Except the forward facing camera....but the rest outweighs it....love how on the Verizon iPhone promotional video they play up being able to put your similar apps in folders....WOO HOO! is that supposed to be something new ????!

Android needs to survive as a mass market, user-friendly, non-intimidating platform, or it will not survive at all. IMO, of course.

I agree with your statement..I instantly thought about Linux desktop PC distros such as Ubuntu. I'm aware Android is based of a variant of Linux. :/
