Since where saying goodbye, I might as well too! I'm getting the Galaxy Nexus in a couple of days and just wanted to say thanks for everyone that has helped me out. Especially PG, MT, Gbiggie and others. I feel like im cheating on you guys but, I really wanted the Nexus and can't wait! I will be lurking in the shadows, because my Esteem is going to a friend of mine so but I'll still be around. Thanks again for everything. One of my favorite communities to be a part of and had alot of fun testing out CWM. Fun times! Thanks again!

Now you are smart, if you are going to drop the esteem at least go for a legit better phone. PLZ report back on how it works for you, My self I want the note or the GS3.

Yea I was thinking about getting the Note or the GS3 but, I'm not going to spend $500-600 on a unlocked phone. I didn't even want to pay $349 for the Nexus but, I was originally going to go with the HTC EVO V but, then the Nexus was on sale for $349 and decided to spend the extra $50 on the Nexus which I'll be using it on Straight Talk (which is another reason why I'm leaving). I'll keep you updated.

Most cell phone compaines in the past like samsung made shitty phones and made money off metro not caring about the quality of the phone prime example galaxy indulge . Lg has figured the opposite make better quality phones and monopolize the market. Prime example the lg esteem is the best phone metro has ever presented in their life. Lg knows that therefore metro will have to end up begging lg to make more phones like the esteem

Well so far so good with my Connect. No issues other than it being a huge battery hog. My and my girlfriends Esteem went back to Metro more then 4 times with in the first 90 days. Yes i have rooted them both, i used Tibu to get rid of the annoying Metro Bloatware, and still had issue after issue, after issue..Stupid stuff, camera would stop working, calls not disconnecting, ect... So i decided to go with a different option, and so far other than lack of roms, and kernels i am quite happy with my phone, ordered a 3850mah battery for it, so when that gets in i will have much better battery life. Some people may feel that i downgraded, but i feel i upgraded..Short of having the Rom's and Kernels and the large screen i personally feel the connect is a much better phone.
It looks like your Esteem unit was defective. I have been an Esteem owner since November and have not had the issues you are describing. The only thing I did to my Esteem was rooting. I did not even remove bloatware or install custom ROM.

My experience with my LG-Esteem has been a nice one and I've had it since last December. I've never experienced overheating, no rebooting by itself or freezing at all and it was on 'ZVB', the only reason I upgraded it to 'ZVD' was because I found a bug in the firmware ( radio baseband ) which would not send the correct phone number to call blockers (Extreme Call Blocker Droid to be exact) and after the update that issue was removed completely and now that Call Blocker is working correctly as it should. Also my phone rarely lags and when it does then I reboot my phone and runs like new. The battery lasts around the day, when I recharge it overnight it still has between 35 % or 40 % energy left.

Yeah, mine was working just fine on ZVB as well. I think my battery life improved slightly with ZVD. I bet there was just a defective batch of phones with rebooting issues etc.
