Just upgraded to the Charge from an OG Droid (you will be missed). Got the Costco deal, $179. I have been researching all the issues with the Bolt and finally decided to pull the trigger after reading all the reviews on the DC. We are suppose to get LTE by the end of this year, so I only have 3g right now. The screen is amazing and the you cant beat the 32gb sd. Not that I love touchwiz but I was already used to it (also have a galaxy tab). Cant wait for for some gingerbread for my DC and the Tab!

Good choice, hope you continue to enjoy your CHARGE. We like ours, not perfect but pretty darn good. On 4GLTE I was getting 5.5MB/s download speeds tonight... switched to 3G and it was only about 1MB/s so being that much faster is a nice bump when you get the 4GLTE near you.

Be sure and switch your phone to use CDMA data (3G) so it never searches for 4G til they roll it out near you.

I think you will be happy with the Charge. I just got mine a couple days ago and really like the device. I goit the phone at Costco as well.....that 90 window is pretty nice. Let us know how you like the device after you have used it for awhile.

I'm still rocking the OG, but got my g/f a DC. I love playing with the Charge, it's the first time I've been able to say that I'm completely jealous of a phone. I love the Charge and would have no prob rocking it if I didn't know how close we were to nabbing either the Bionic or the SGS2.

Good call choosing the DC over the TB. I had three and finally got the DC. Also got an extended battery (also had one for the TB) and I couldn't be happier. Enjoy your phone!

I think the Bionic & the SGS2 will convieniently launch right after the new tiered data plans so I picked up the Droid Charge so I can keep unlimited data, being grandfathered in for at least the next couple years.

Tiered Data Plans Said to Infect Verizon July 7th, Will Get Extremely Pricey for Power Users
I believe if you are currently on a "unlimited" 3g/4g data plan and renew your contract after the 7th you are still "grandfathered" in unlimited. from what I've read the tiered plans only affect new contracts at this point...someone correct me if I'm wrong and I'll go pick up a charge today at Costco and hope for the galaxy s2 to come out within the next 90 days.....

Do you think it is necessary to do this? If so, how do you do it? I saw a few LTE switch apps in the market but they were all paid apps.

So far my battery life has been pretty good with moderate use all day. I have my corporate emailed pushed, gmail, and a hotmail account syncing all day, also a little facebook, send some text messages, and some internet browsing. So far I have been able to get through the whole day unless I really use my phone a lot and I will have to throw it on the charger around 7pm.
