Google Announces Find Your Phone

This is pretty cool.

Have you ever lost your phone in between the couch cushions or forgot it in a restaurant? Or maybe searching for your phone before you rush out the door is part of your morning routine? Later this month, the new Android Device Manager can help you out. It's one of a few simple features you can use to keep your device

I like how they mention losing it in the couch cushions and their screenshot say's accurate to 20 meters. OK, which of the six couches in my house is it in.:rofl:

I know, I know, the ring feature also, that just struck me funny.

I would have to rake the food particles from under the couch cushions to find my phone.

Both of my devices are listed but I tried ringing them and it doesn't work. Their location doesn't show either

Does android device manager show in your Google settings app? If not, it still needs to be updated. Also, turn on Access Location in the Google Settings app if you haven't.

Yes and Location access is on

Well, if Google can't find you neither can the NSA. :thumb:

 I has determined my N7 is in a couch somewhere within a 4 mile radius. Awesome. My Google Settings haven't updated on my GNex yet.

Won't help some people. Couple lost her phone on the park walkway. He's calling it, they can hear it, and walked right by it at least 5 times. You gotta LOOK in the weeds.
Google would have to make the phone jump up and whistle.

Clear cache in Google Play Services and reboot. ADM will show up.

Thanks but it didn't work. My S4 isn't even showing up online in the ADM list. Maybe that's why it isn't updating.
