Help Google Calendar using MASSIVE amounts of data

So I'm using about 50 MB of data every day, made no sense, so I went on the 4636 thing and it's pretty much all the 'Calendar' app. Have had 2 Desire Z's before, not had this issue there, but on this one it's been here since day 1. What can I do? I don't want to disable sync etc, or the calendar, I use it a lot. This is really making me angry, I don't know what to do! Can anyone help?
Thanks

Install Network Usage (available free in the Market) and it will show you a breakdown of data sent/received per app, including system processes if the option to do so is chosen. This will allow you to confirm that Calendar Storage is indeed the culprit.

OK, done that, turns out it aint so simple.
I have exactly identical data usage figures for many of the system apps, presumably it's shared between them.
They are: DCS Service, Calendar Storage, Customization Settings Provider, Peep, Open Sense Plugin Manager, HTC Location Service, Customization Setup, com.htc.dcs.service.stock, DCS Utility Component, Calendar, Stocks, Weather Agent Service, HTC Weather Sync Provider, HTC Media Uploader, Friend Stream, Connect to PC, Facebook for HTC Sense, Flickr, com.htc.provider.settings, and Weather Provider.
What's especially weird is that I don't even use or sync some of these, eg I disabled Stocks when I got it, don't use Flickr, etc.
Is the bloody thing faulty?
Thanks

I'm having the exact same problem! HTC Open Sense Plugin, Google Calendar and Stocks (which I never use - I don't have stocks). Any ideas guys? I have a Desire S....
