Help Google Contacts Sync Error

I get a sync error when I try to sync my google contacts. Everyone google sync works (ie. picassa, calender, email).

I've searched pretty extensively without any real solution or even explanation of the problem. anyone experience this, and know how they solved it?

Are you doing this over Wifi? or 3G? Is your phone in roaming mode? Maybe try to reboot the phone and see if it fixes it. Also check your sync settings.... from the main home screen select menu/settings/accounts & Sync....click on Google and make sure sync contacts is checked.

Did this just start or has it been a recurring problem? I have run into server issues with sync on a pretty regular basis...they eventually sync
