Doesn't the Milestone have native pinch-to-zoom in all their apps, and it's the same specs.I just read an article in PCWorld where they speculated that perhaps the Droid "doesn't have the horsepower for pinch-to-zoom."
Guess this shows THEM! HA!

The Droid supposedly doesn't have the necessary horsepower for touchscreen gestures, such as pinching to zoom. But, how does that explain that the European version of the Droid already has multitouch?
You can change it to a different language. Mine is set to British English. Settings > Text-to-Speech > Language. I think you also need to select "Always Use My Settings"I wish they could change the robotic voice.
Droid is getting multitouch on gmaps!
Motorola Droid gets official multitouch support -- in Google Maps, anyway -- Engadget
If you want to see what it looks though, change your time to sometime at night, then load up a Navigation route. Like djstarion said above.
Updated Google Maps and now it has my location 4 states off! Yikes! Maybe it'll find me tomorrow. 3:00am and I'm way too tired to mess with it! Besides the fact that it's a real blizzard outside right now (Jersey Shore)! Damn! cuskit

Since night mode works off of light sensor and not time, just take your phone into a dark room. It should change automatically.

Is that for real or a joke? Meanwhile, I'll bite and do that. Just have to wait when the room is clear and nobody is watching me!Did you do the figure 8's over your head with the droid to help calibrate the GPS?
mikeTry Google Maps Address Book from the market.
finally i can just push a button to save my location instead of inserting a full address. thank you!
