Root Google Maps + GPS draining battery

One hour using Maps with GPS drained over half of my battery. Anything i can do to save some power here? underclocking?

nope. sorry. my phone is on the charger and still drains battery when using maps.

I've somewhat lowered the battery usage in my new app using some clever tricks. I'll keep you guys posted. Its almost completed. Same applies to 3d games or apps.
