Google Maps on Nexus S in 3D?

I've seen some pictures with Google Maps being in 3D. How can I get Google Maps to display in 3D on my Nexus S? Or is this only on tablets?

It only works in certain cities usually larger cities like New York. To view in 3d use two fingers and swipe downwards in maps and it will give you 3d view.

3 d is very well on the nexus s. Needs to be building's over 20'.

On a similar note, does anyone know how to get the 3d type pictures in Google Earth please? In the pictures for the app in the market, it shows kind of 3d rendered images for the colosseum, hong kong harbour etc but when I do the two finger swipe thing on here it only shows the "flat" kind of rendering. Thanks!
