Google Maps w/Nav in Germany?

I just updated my Google Maps on my desire and it said that navigation (beta) was included in the update, but I can not find it anywhere in the program. I've drawn up driving directions, but it still just shows the 2D map. Am I overlooking something obvious??

I may be talking out of my behind here but i think google Nav (Beta) is only available in the US and UK as of yet, i live in the Channel Islands and i don't get it here yet!
