Root google maps wont install

It booted up and is reinstalling the apps right now. Thanks. How do I check to see if the rom has taken.

I activated set cpu and it will only go up to 800 whereas it was 900 before?
 
Build number FRG22! Is that correct?

What can I do about the cpu speed. I think I am going to have to buy you a beer or two. :)
 
Any recommendations on kernels, where to get them and how best to flash them? I want to run wifi like I had it before.

Yeah...another save for OMJ. I had the same problem with google maps with frf57. Fixed as soon as i upgraded (to 81 i think). These guys on here are excellent!
 
I'm on a rooted MT3G and having the same initial problem - maps shows an update and downloads, but refuses to install. Do I just need to find a more current ROM?
