google now / voice help with a 'reminder'

Not necessarily galaxy nexus specific but seeming as Google voice is native app we probably have more knowledge on it...anyway:

I told Google now to 'remind me to book a graduation gown' and it recognised it and stored it, and I got the sort of pop up message saying sending message (? :s) but I can't see where this entry has saved and its not in my calendar or messages. Any suggestions?

I just tried to add a reminder and it sent me an email on my gmail account. The email is titled "Note to self" and the text is what I asked to be reminded of. It also included, as an attachment, the voice recording of my request. From what I can see (and from what I can find online), it doesn't store the information on Google's servers, just sends the email.

Ahhhh I see! Thank you. That's pretty cool. Would be better if it saved it to google now as a card but I presume if I play about I can get it to (if not that would be an awesome feature)

no, it just sends you an email when you do a "note to self". There's no way to get it to do anything else with it though that would be nice. I would prefer if they integrated the ability to add it to your calendar or to-do list.... of course it would help if Google actually fully integrated the to-do list into their calendar but that's another gripe.
