Help Google Play Music - problem communicating with google servers

I am not able to log into Google Play Music. I keep getting error "problem communicating with google servers". Any help would be appreciated.

I am streaming from Google Play Music right now. I would recommend that you uninstall that application, restart your device, reinstall the app and try again.

I am on Verizon. My only options were Force stop, Uninstall updates or disable. I chose uninstall updates it says the application will be replaced with the factory version. I tried this and restarted but am still getting the same error. Strange.

Ahh...I forgot this is installed out of the box. That's why you couldn't uninstall it cause it is a "system" app.

It won't even let you log in? Have you ever been able to use it on the G3? Are you logged in to your google account on your phone? Gmail, Play Store, etc., all work fine?

Gmail works fine. I can send and receive emails. I downloaded Candy Crush with no issue. Google Music won't let me link my existing account and I constantly get the "Google Server error." If I pull up the google music app it is only showing the 3 sample LG songs.

At the top right of the screen, click on "contact us"

Under "What can we help you with" select "Music".

Under "select an issue" select "problem playing music".

Then at the bottom you can request a call or chat with someone from Google. I haven't used their support ever...so I honestly have no idea if they are helpful but it sounds like a Google/account issue rather than a phone issue.
